Northwoods Martial Arts & Self Defense

Hi, I'm George Baldwin, owner and head instructor at Northwoods Martial Arts. I love what I do and enjoy making a difference in the lives of my students!

At Northwoods, we believe that martial arts isn't simply a program or class you attend, but an investment in your life. We focus on the principles of 'position before submission' and the 'components of power' in our Tae Kwon Do, self defense and Jiu Jitsu and challenge our students to see how these and other lessons apply to their lives. Students of all ages grow in character and self understanding as they grow in their physical competency in the martial arts.

Tuition is monthly, and includes as many classes as you can attend. There are no contracts or sign up fees. We offer discounts for enrolling in multiple programs and a family discount as well. As a family oriented school, we encourage the entire family to participate!

Our school is located at 124 South Leonard Street in West Salem, Wisconsin. I encourage you to stop by any time to visit and watch a class or, better yet, try one out! Your first class is always free.
